Walter Keith Adams, 69, of Meridian, MS passed away September 1, 2018 after a long struggle with cancer. Keith was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on March 25, 1949 to Merrill and Ruth Adams (Frye). He served his country in the Navy from 1967-1971. He achieved his lifelong dream of getting his private pilot’s license and owning his own plane. In 2005, he was one of the founders of Civil Air Patrol squadron in Marysville, Ohio sharing his love of aviation with young cadets. In recent years, he became an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in a league regularly at Lakeview Golf Course.
He is survived by his daughters Christina (Greg) Berry and Angie Adams and his sister Patty (Robert) Perkins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Adams.
Family requests that any memorials in his honor be made to Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate). A special thank you to his friends in Mississippi that have been by his side and supported him during this difficult time and to Stephanie Steve in Ohio for being by his side for many years. We are especially grateful to Dr. Jennifer Frost and the staff at the VA in Jackson for providing Keith with such exceptional care.

We loved Mr Keith so much I met him working at TA and the rest history! He took me and my son flying for the first time !! He gave us such an amazing memory to hold of him! He called me just when he found out about his cancer. Me and my family literally live just 2 min from him we would visit and help as much as we could or that he would let us lol he was very head strong ! In the 4 years we got to love him as family he taught is so much! Or last visit was just in Aug he helped my son with math using his birthday to distract him from his cancer because my son watch his adopted grampaw go through blader and bone cancer from beginning to end , so he saw boogie was scared and asked about his now homeschooling and that was all it took! Mr Keith was always at my rescue when something broke bless him I called him my dryer hero because it never failed he always could fix it!! We love his so warming smile and contagious sarcasm and playful sense of humor! Thank you for sharing such an amazing smart loving strong willed man with this world !! He was so proud he got so much taken care of before he passes he wanted to be sure his family was well taken care of and could grieve without stress or having to deal with to much I'm so proud of him! And love the fact he intrested my son in golf go figure :)
God bless and rest in peace mr Keith you are loved present or even in just memory but for sure never forgotten I will miss our funnies we share and the mental challenges you would give me ! 2018
