Betsy Rawson

Services for Bessie Mae (Betsy) Lackey Rawson will be held Saturday December 14th at 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian.  Visitation will start at 10:00am.  Mrs. Rawson, 88, of Meridian, died Wednesday December 11, 2019 at her home.  She was a dedicated member of First Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of The Galaxy Club.  Mrs. Rawson was an LPN and retired as Supervisor of Central Supply at St. Joseph Hospital in Meridian.

She is survived by her children, Robert Wayne Rawson (Rita), Daye Rawson Denton (Bill) and James Brent Rawson (Laurie); grandchildren, Julie Vance, Sandi Mitchell, Melissa Rawson, Rebecca Brunson, Ivy Torrance, Madison Rawson and Brodie Rawson; Fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild;  Sisters Claire Lackey Wagner and Daye Lackey Tinnin and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Robert Leo Rawson; mother Grace Norwood Lackey Todd, father Frank Ivy Lackey Sr. and stepmother Mary Walton Lackey;  brother Frank Ivy Lackey Jr.;  grandchildren William Ryan Denton and Betsy Lauren Denton
