Julia Bullock

September 18, 1926 — June 1, 2020

Julia Imogene (Jean) Bullock, 93, beloved mother and friend to many, was called to her eternal resting place on June 1,2020. She entered this world on September 18, 1926 in Meridian, MS., born to Jewel C. and Larkin N. Moore. Jean was an independent, hardworking woman who devoted most of her life to serving up Southern home cooking at Jean's restaurant on Front Street in Meridian, MS. In her words, "I might not know everyone's names, but I know their faces and I try to speak to each person who comes in". Jean lived her life with a strong Christian based faith and enjoyed serving the public through her delicious food.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her spouse William T. Bullock, and her brothers Ulmer, Vegie, Bobby, and Jimmy Moore.

She is survived by three brothers, Webb Moore (Peggie), Delton Moore (Bobbie Nell), Donny Moore (Linda), her sisters Theola( Peewee) Grayson and Leola Jones, two step-sons, Tommy Bullock (Barbara) and Daryle Bullock (Kathy) and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the James T. Champion Nursing Facility and the Southern Care Hospice services for the caretaking of Jean in her final years.
