William "Jackie" Jackson Hinson

May 25, 1943 ~ November 22, 2020 (age 77)


A graveside service for William Jackson “Jackie” Hinson Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Toomsuba Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Hinson, 77, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a resident of Bedford Care Center of Marion.

He was born May 25, 1943 to the late George W. and Mamie Hinson.
Jackie was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter who loved his dogs and the out of doors. He was also a retired Meridian Firefighter, a profession that he loved.

He is survived by his sisters, Sue Harper (Frank) and Kathy Holloman (Terry); sister-in-law, Pat Roberts (Dave); brothers-in-law, Donald Curtis (Annette) and Craig Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Donna Curtis Hinson; parents, George W. and Mamie B. Hinson; nephews, Lyle Harper and Todd McManus; and niece, Robyn Holloman.

Pallbearers will include his nephews, Zac Harper, Brandon Morgan, Logan Dial, Cole McManus, Cody McManus, Dusty Holloman, Barry Holloman, and Ashton Lundy.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
